Another day in “Canada”

Our 51st state fifth column
pretends to oppose America

Greg Klein | June 16, 2025

So whose was the greater insult to this country—that guy’s 51st state fatuous comments or this country’s 51st state fifth column? Or, to put it another way, that guy’s remarks or the “Canadians” who proved him right?

As American demonstrators expressed American grievances on June 14, Canadian demonstrators expressed American grievances too. But not exactly for the same reason. Americans did so for American reasons. Canadians did so to imitate Americans. That’s what Canadian demonstrators routinely do.

Judging by media coverage, two June 14 Vancouver Trump demos showed little Canadian perspective. The crowds, estimated between hundreds to a thousand participants, devoted little attention to Trump’s tariffs and 51st state bluster. Instead the events featured overwhelmingly American content.

Although B.C. reporters typically missed that point, it came through unwittingly. Media coverage of the demos ranged from the implied support of the Vancouver Sun to a lengthy and overwrought Toronto Star commentary that could have been spewed out by any American Democrat, American antifa or Canadian imitator.

Regardless, these photos by Vancouver Postmedia’s Jason Payne reveal more than the Vancouver Sun and Province might have intended.

Americans don’t know or care that China remains Canada's
greatest foreign threat. Therefore neither do these “Canadians.”

A Canadian urban shithole apparently loves an even
shittier shithole. But of course—it’s an American shithole.
The ICE references are irrelevant to Canada.

As in the U.S., probably here too—the prominence of Mexican flags
indicates support for unlimited Mexican immigration and opposition to
the removal of Mexican gangsters. That’s a strictly American issue. Nothing
seriously challenges the Canadian elite’s support for unsustainable
immigration and foreign criminals.

Amid the American slogans, the “witch” expresses a personal problem.
But what’s she saying? If she’s angry, why is she using a Canadian term that means
“drunk”? And if she’s trying to say she’s angry, why bother stating the obvious? Most
demonstrators use these events as ideologically correct outlets for emotional problems.

This Bonnie Henry lookalike doesn’t seem to know that Canada’s
Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and Canada’s constitution, created
American-style judicial powers that curtail Canadians’ rights and freedoms.

A call for “more drag queens” shows Trump derangement syndrome’s
place in the war on normality, a war so vicious that it even targets children.

Two eyeballs stare down at the person holding the placard,
suggesting that is what democracy looks like.
All those “No Kings” signs are accurate, though.
They refer to a country that has no king.
Unlike Canada.

Snubbing our swear words, the Spanish-language sign expresses a
conflict between Mexicans and Americans that’s irrelevant to Canada.
The otherwise incoherent sign on the right uses an American slogan
to advocate murdering the American president. Advocating Trump’s
murder is permissible in Canada because it’s permissible in the U.S.

Granted use of a megaphone, this guy was apparently
one of the demo’s speakers or organizers.

In true American-imitating style, he too advocated Trump’s murder.

Canadian media coverage that I’ve seen has said very little about the demos’ organizers and nothing about the funders. Illegal immigration in the U.S. comprises a heavily financed and strongly organized aspect of the social revolution (just a few examples here and here), as is the propagation of Trump derangement syndrome. Canada probably preceded the U.S. in its demographic replacement but has slavishly mimicked TDS. Apart from demolishing any Canadian claim to distinction from the U.S., Canada’s American Trump obsession offers our elite very convenient distraction from its own machinations.
