So far, a largely
peaceful assassination

But the post-mortem regime response
might go far beyond propaganda

Charlie Kirk’s empty desk

Full disclosure: I’ve never followed American politics and hadn’t heard of Charlie Kirk until his murder. But here are some Canadian reflections on an especially disturbing event in Western decline.

Much of the Enlightened class senses the need to suppress its exaltation. Exceptions have been numerous but they’ll likely get nothing worse than a sideways career move, if not a Nahanni Fontaine-style pass. After all, she expressed only what everyone in the Enlightened class thinks.

But that belief system extends far beyond the West’s elite. It runs throughout mainstream society and has arguably taken hold more strongly in this country than anywhere else. Canadians have lived most or all of their lives under political correctness, now known as woke and better described as a multi-faceted social revolution. Out of conformity, opportunism or outright fear, most people follow the ideology, or at least fail to oppose it.

Erika Kirk’s eulogy for her husband Charlie Kirk

As the West replaces religion with “religion,”
prominent holdouts risk death.

Many do so for another reason—fervent belief, a zealotry that’s become the religion of our time. It somehow fills a void in people who otherwise reject religion.

The parallels have been noted: for example a belief (twisted in this case) of absolute good and evil, an unassailable doctrine, the concept of blasphemy, the cult of martyrs, a crusading spirit to transform (or destroy) the West, and the desire for a theocracy that has in fact taken hold in our Gleichschaltung. Not even included in that list are the nauseatingly frequent proclamations of self-righteousness, really sanctimonious behaviour usually described as “virtue signalling.”

Borrowing from Nazism, the pseudo-religion also makes a scapegoat of just about every aspect of Western culture but usually focuses more narrowly on straight white men. (Or, in Vancouver, straight white men who aren’t junkies.)

The scapegoat offers a target for personal resentment, which evidently pervades society. Vancouver’s protest culture, likely Canada’s strongest, helps characterize this city as the Revenge of the Inadequate. Throughout the West, a great many people from gutter-level wastrels to positions of high status hate normality and revel in its destruction. Public discourse often resembles Orwell’s Two Minutes Hate extended 24/7.

It’s not clear to what extent the madness is orchestrated or developing naturally. Certainly opportunists can manipulate widespread insanity and often induce it. The otherwise inexplicably sudden, long, vicious, society-wide George Floyd uproar showed strong indications that an extremely well-organized, well-connected clique was ready to incite far-reaching mayhem to coincide with America’s next wave of black rioting. To an extent the mass graves hoax, Canada’s own contribution to this era of moral panics, suggests a campaign had been organized in advance of the bogus announcement from Kamloops. In both cases the result has been not only wanton violence and destruction, but greater regime power over increasingly demoralized non-zealots subjected to increasingly intense head-fucks.

Although outright exaltation over Kirk’s death has been muted, an MSM propaganda campaign immediately began to criticize him, implicitly justify his murder and neutralize any chance of a “right wing” martyr.

He’s said to hold the conventional beliefs of his time.

Meanwhile head honchos of American MSM, Democrats and Antifa (the group does have leaders, an elite of trained activists and an extremely sophisticated network despite claims to the contrary) could be debating the strategy of building a hero cult around Kirk’s accused killer. The cult has probably already started on social media, but at this point trad media backing remains uncertain.

Standard-issue Canadians will mimic anything, absolutely anything, pushed by the American elite.

Lately though, our model country’s official propaganda machine has been screwing up. A few MSM outlets revealed that an American who shot 20 people at a Christian school hated his/her/its trans-sexual existence. Other sources reported that Kirk’s alleged assassin has a he/she/it romantic partner. One of those very common American black-on-white murders somehow became big news, possibly because the dead Ukrainian refugee also had victim status. GoFundMe even took down fundraisers set up by her killer’s fans. Meanwhile anti-immigration demonstrations still occur overseas and even in Ontario. But if any of this portends a backlash, a counter-backlash could very well follow.

Power remains with the social revolutionaries. They have the numbers, the institutions and what’s left of the culture. They have the zealotry of the Elect and the confidence of the Gleichschaltung. And in police, military, Antifa-like cells and even conventional middle-class 20-somethings, they have the firepower.
